Awesome free business tools!
Working with a range of businesses of all shapes and sizes on a daily basis makes me acutely aware of the challenges that many are facing in the current business environment.
Down here in Canterbury, not only are many desperately trying to rebuild their client base following the events of September 4, but most were already dealing with the fallout of an economic recession that has affected businesses around the world.
So when I come across something that I really feel can help those businesses – and it’s free – I feel compelled to share!
If you have a business related blog, you might like to share these useful links with your readers too.
Although they come from a range of different NZ government departments, they have been collated by the www.business.govt.nz team into a handy tool kit.
The Business Healthcheck page is a great place to start, with your choice of using the all in one tool, or just focusing on the areas that are of particular interest.
Since Marketing is my forte, I am interested in the Marketing Healthcheck, which takes just 10 minutes and generates a handy dandy report for you in Word format.
Other tools include some really useful templates and calculators for working out things like cashflow, working out what your charge out rate should be – awesome if you are a self-employed freelancer or contractor, how to work out ROI on your advertising spend and lots more.
These are excel spreadsheets which are downloadable and something you can use as valuable business management and development tools.
Would love to hear what you think about these resources and how they might help you in your business.
